Sepang International Circuit Interesting Facts

– The first Malaysia Grand Prix was held in 1999 with Eddie Irvine winning the race for Ferrari.

– The circuit has built a fierce reputation among teams and drivers alike due to the unpredictable weather, going from hot & humid to raining cats & dogs within a few minutes.

– The track is designed by Hermann Tilke who has also designed other F1 tracks in China, Turkey, India and elsewhere. The Sepang Circuit features long straights and tricky corners – the trickiest being Turn 2, which is almost impossible to smoothly pass without delicately balancing the throttle and brake.
We hope you will enjoy all the fun of it. Happy watching.
