1. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was originally given the name Ile Notre-Dame Circuit.
2. The first race was held in October 1978, after upgrading it to Formula One standards in the budget of $2m.
3. Gilles Villeneuve, won his debut Grand Prix race at newly built home circuit.
4. It was later renamed to Circuit Gille Villeneuve in 1982 following the tragic death of Gille Villeneuve. The unfortunate driver died during the Belgian Grand Prix when he was driving for Ferrari.
